About us

The Dovedale Singers was formed sixty-two years ago starting life as a church concert party and evolving into a choir in 1960, when it adopted its name. The name was derived from the street name where its then conductor lived. In 2019 we celebrated our 60th anniversary - see 60th Anniversary Concert Gallery.

The choir likes to sing a variety of genre from pop, musical through to classical.  Most of the current repertoire is scored for SATB.  New music is constantly added so that members do not become stale and ensuring that higher vocal challenges are being reached.

We are always open to new members and would encourage you to get in touch if you are interested in singing – no audition is required!
