Musical Director

Roger Briscoe

Our Aim - to entertain

We are a four-part mixed choir singing a very wide range of music. In recent times we have expanded our repertoire and are well equipped to provide entertainment for every occasion. These have included weddings, after-dinner entertainment and local arts festivals. Much of our work is singing at fund-raising concerts for churches, trusts and charities. The venues we have sung at have included Manchester Cathedral, the Royal Northern College of Music and Manchester’s wonderful Bridgewater Hall.

In 2007, we entered the Hazel Grove Music Festival and gained first prize in the choral class.

Earler this year, our former Musical Director retired, and we have been very fortunate to now have the services of Roger Briscoe

The Dovedale Singers

started life as a church concert party, evolving into a choir in 1960, when it adopted as its name, the name of the road in which the then conductor lived.
